Am I being over worried
Hi I have a 2 year old blue tongue skink who unfortunately currently has a RI I have been to the vet and he's on a course of anti biotics he's had 2 injections so far and has 4 more to go . I was at the vets on Sunday and the vet did not seem too concerned and he had gained weight and was bright and alert . Honestly I was expecting him to seem a lot better by know but the vet did say it takes time for reptiles to get better , however this week he hasn't eaten on 2 occasions I mean it's possible he's just simply not hungry as I have been feeding him every other day and when I got him out today he's breathing is defiantly not as heavy as it was but it sounds more whistley now . He's currently on paper which was adviced by the vet but I'm worried him not eating is a sign of something wrong he hasn't eaten since Saturday which was 6 days ago should I be concerned ?

BTS that age should be fed once a week anyway unless underweight. What temps do you have at the warm and cool ends.

Also, medications will often put animals off feed.

I took him back to the vets as I had a gut feeling that something wasn't right and that the inti biotics where not working. It has know progressed Into pneumonia
and I am freaking out! They have done an x-ray to prove the pneumonia and they are keeping him in to do a nasal lavage ( I think that's what it's called ) there aim is to wash out his lungs and send it of to a lab to find out exactly what's causing the problem and what anti-biotics to use. I'm worried it doesn't seem to be improving and if the next dose of anti biotics don't work I'm not sure what's next
