BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

So I found this type of hedgehog food that seemed like it might be good for a skink. Its VitaSmart Insect Protein for well, hedgehogs. Any opinions on this?

Also I've noticed some weird things about my skink. On the tail there is some "crystalized" skin that looks like its part of an old shed yet I've never gotten it off with Shed-Ease. And on my skinks head there is a tiny greyish-blueish-greenish dot. Should I be concerned? Also around the legs and torso some have small grey-areas of skin? The two front have them but the hind ones don't.

Ive tried getting pictures yet my skink wouldn't cooperate and stay still.

I'm not sure about the skin issues, but the dot on the head is likely his parietal eye, completely normal. It'd be on the center of his head.
