whenever I reach into the enclosure and touch him he's on the cold side of the tank and freezing, I have to move him over to his basking slate. Any idea why he might be doing this????Skink won't bask???

Skink won't bask???
So my so called ij is apparently now a marauke!!! Anyways he refuses to bask whenever I reach into the enclosure and touch him he's on the cold side of the tank and freezing, I have to move him over to his basking slate. Any idea why he might be doing this????

Hi, can you provide more information about your setup? Enclosure size, temps, substrate, etc. Pictures also. That will help us figure this out.

Yes as Janella said, pics and info will help. You shouldn't need to move the skink to the basking end if the set up is right he will sort himself out and disturbing him is likely just to make him feel less secure. As well as the info Janella suggested what are you feeding, how often and how often does he eat?
