First Shed (with me at least)
So I've had my bluey for about 2-3 months now and this is his first shed with me. He apparently has always struggled with shedding, so I was advised to make him a humid hide as well as bathing weekly during a shed. I keep the humidity in there around 65-80%, it rarely drops below 70% and he uses it regularly. Last Thursday he started turning very dark and dull so I assumed a shed was coming, called his previous foster and they agreed and told me to start bathing weekly as needed. Last Sunday we bathed and not much happened besides him swimming. Today I bathed and half way through his bath an incredible amount of shed had come off just by him swimming through my hands and a gentle rub with my fingers in a circular motion. The only place I picked or pulled from was his feet and with each one I pulled off 2 half gloves very easily. Is this normal? I really should have taken a pic of the tub once he was done but at that point I was so concerned due to the sheer amount and no more shed was coming and I noticed that scary scale.

If it was me, I would just leave him and observe next time to see for yourself how he sheds. You may be causing unnecessary fuss and stress under old advice and with the best intentions.
Intervention is only needed if they have been in active shed for a while that has not progressed and they have retained shed they can't get rid of. I know they have told you a bad shed history but you are doing so great with humidity it may not actually be a problem.
Leave him be next time for his oils to work their magic and see how he goes himself.

How long would I usually leave him dull then? He spent about 2 weeks dull before first bath

No, the dull period is not shed. It is an indicator of a shed coming but is not shed. Active shed is when they actually have the skin coming off. My suggestion is that you let the whole thing run through and observe. Post when he sheds next with photos (
). We can guide you through if you need. Interfering too early in the process will likely do more harm than good.

ok next time i will make my anxious self be patient, he appears to almost be done his shed as he's only got a little bit loose here and there, and the scary scale is 90% better then before(I have been applying vet antibiotic ointment from work on it every 2nd day) he hasnt been eating this last week, but I heard that can be normal during shed periods? I will continue to offer food regardless every 4 days
