For the past few weeks my adult Northern blue tongue's appetite had been down; he will eat a little bit but I have to coax him into it (he's never been very enthusiastic about food, but this is even less than usual). He has also been more restless than usual, wandering about the cage more than he usually does and digging at the door trying to get out. His colors have also been duller the past few weeks which made me think that maybe he is restless/not eating because he is going to shed soon. However he still hasn't shed and usually it doesn't take him this long.
About a year ago he burned his chin right under his mouth in an accident. He went to the vet, I treated it with silver sulfadene cream for a couple of weeks, and it healed up fine. There's still been a mark there, but it's gotten less and less noticeable with each shed. However today as I was looking him over to see if it looks like he's going to start shedding soon I noticed that his chin looks a little off? I can't tell if it's just that it's getting ready to shed and the healed area looks weird, but I'm a little worried that there's an underlying infection. Below are pictures of his chin and the corresponding area in his mouth. Unfortunately it was somewhat hard to get good pictures because he didn't like me messing with him.
