[Help] Is it a problem?

I received my baby Merauke today and I noticed he was shedding. That's fine but I was helping him a bit and realized that his legs were really black and came to a conclusion that it wasn't normal ! So there's a skin fold on each 4 legs like I could peel it but whenever I try, he turns and lick his leg or I just remove a small amount.. Should I be alarmed or is there anything to do? is it normal ?

It looks to me like he is too dry. I would suggest wetting down the aspen substrate for now and making sure that his tank stays plenty warm, and see if he is able to get the rest of his shed off his legs on his own --if not, let him soak in an inch of lukewarm water for 15-20 minutes and then rubbing his legs with a towel to help get the shed off.

I would suggest picking a different substrate --aspen is one of the worst at holding the humidity most Meraukes need to stay healthy.
