Sneezing and Huffing
I am curious what the difference is between sneezing and huffing?

Sneezing is when they sneeze just like we do, huffing is when they in a sense hiss, they breath in a lot of air and kind of hiss it out as warning, it also makes there size huff up like a puffer fish.

Re: Sneezing and Huffing
Thank you so much!
How often do they sneeze and what signifies an abnormal amount of sneezing?
This is my first time owning a blue-tongue and mine is a baby northern, born June 29th, 2016.

Amount they sneeze varies just like with us, i find they sneeze a lot more on food day/when i change the substrate, if your bub is sneezing every 20 seconds day after day then there is for concern but they can have little sneezing fits if they get substrate dust or something in nose, if you think the bub is sneezing to much just look at the nose, if its dry it's fine only if it has some discharge you should worry.

Like Nick said, it's absolutely normal. The only time you need to worry about sneezing is if it seems continual or if there are bubbles or fluid coming out of the nostrils, eyes, or mouth.
Huffing is like a loud breath or exhale but still coming out of the nose.
This is a video of me trying to get little Lucy to walk, to show how she was swiping her head with her claws --which it turned out, she wasn't doing anymore
, but, starting at the 1:14 mark, you can hear her huffing off and on; a pretty loud one at 1:38.

This is not my skink, but here is an example of what my baby northern does sometimes.
Is this a sneeze or a huff? The video title says sneeze.

Re: Sneezing and Huffing
Title is correct, it is just a little sneeze, sounds nice and dry, only if it is a lot of sneezing, sounding wet and with discharge is there cause for concern.
