Walked in this morning for a check and spooted this tanky bugger



She also dropped this big slug

Shes had a bite to eat,a couple of drinks and is pacing about still with the odd push so hopefully a couple more bubs inside

Oh these 2 girls are 2 of the outdoor kept ones that bred back in october

Gestations are a bit longer when warmth isnt there around the clock,i thought the outdoor ones would be early this season but mid march is average time,i did find a baby back on feb 28th though in the outdoor cage so one went early

Im thinking she must have slugged out,so another single baby litter making that 3 now,including a still born to a sligging out lowlands female

Yep few still holding out on me,lots of shed cycles happening

Wow they really do hold out on you down there. :-)

Yep,the alpines are on average late march probably scott,sometimes into april,the lowlands are sometimes march but usually early april
Have had them even late april into early may some cool seasons,after being taken inside in late march if its cooled down alot

I think my cages are possably to exposed to winds off bass straight,as i know a few guys down this way that get babies alot sooner even when theres mate around same time as mine do

I have a feeling this female that dropped a big baby and a slug actually hasnt finished yet,shes still solid and her breathing still appears laboured,oh and she has just shed now

Hopefully they get a wriggle on as if like them to go back out and brumate with the group outdoors
