BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Here are a couple of videos showing the typical behaviour I see in my shinglebacks around ovulation. This only tends to go on for a day or two for each female, and tends to occur about 15-20 days after the males stop showing any interest in mating. For me it is a very reliable early predictor of who I can expect to have babies. These were taken last November.

I'm curious to know if this is seen in the other species?

This season i noticed a couple of female blotchies chasing and grabbing at the dominant males shoulder area like that,oddly though was during the peak of breeding season when he was chasing after different females,one lass in particular was very intent on running him down
