Impacted substrate?
Hi. I am new to the BTS world. I know if they ingest substrate it can become impacted. What are the symptoms of this? I feed my Bubba outside the enclosure but occasionally give him a treat inside, on his basking rock. When I did that recently he pulled it off the rock and it looked like he may have eaten some substrate. Havent seen poop in a few days, so I am feeling paranoid and want to know what the signs of impacted substrate are. Thank you!

Signs of impaction would be: nothing coming out the other end, swelling, refusal to eat, becoming irritable or aggressive when handled, and/or acting lethargic.
Impaction is really not very common at all, so I don't think there's a whole lot of reason for you to worry after possibly eating a little substrate once, or even a few times, but it's certainly good to be safe rather than sorry and keep an eye on him for a while. If you're worried you can feed him some banana or eggs, then give him a lukewarm bath the following day (all three of those are known to induce a bowel movement on their own) and seeing if he doesn't let you know that all is fine.
