Very nice. What technique are you using to photograph them?

Kurt, I have different ways of doing it. Sometimes if it is overcast, I'll take them outside. Or I try to get the best lighting I can from inside. Some photos I use a poster board, but in this image I used a white hardboard.


This is Casper; I held him back because he wasn't a great eater. I'm not sure if I'll keep him, but he's staying here for now. He has a lot of salmon hues going on. I like it.

Oh man Casper is really cool. Orange is my favorite color and I'm hoping when the time comes I'll be able to track down a skink with a nice amount of orange. I've seen some nice oranges in both Merauke and Northerns, but not sure if any other species/subspecies can have lots of orange in them. Actually a question if you don't mind me asking: how do their colors change as they grow up? Is there a tendency towards getting darker, lighter, etc?

It is hard to say, because everyone develops differently. But with this litter, the orange keeps increasing every time they shed. The baby in the third picture was born with black bands, but now has orange bands bordered with black. Pretty cool, I think
