BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

So for Chronos my lone BTS male I have a 110 gallon tank and stand that is going to be set up for him. I just need to get the correct lighting and screen lid before I can think about setting up the interior. I have some nice sized branches that I am going to use for him to climb. My real question is will he actually use them? Aren't BTS mostly terrestrial?

Depends. Some of mine love trying to climb or explore every inch of the enclosure, while others like to stay to their own little spot just about all the time.

Bluie's dont do much climbing, depends greatly on the personality as Dakota pointed out but for the most part they aren't, if they are big and flatish then i can see them wondering on them but they aren't going to go nuts and sit up in a branch like a Beardie would.

So I need to make more level basking areas, and then make something of a ramp or flat branch leading to them?

Yes, although they will try to climb around, they are not very good with balance. The basking area can for sure be elevated, but the basking spot needs to be level, not like a stick or something.

Ok I can make some platforms with wood and such, maybe put some astro turf down to protect from splinters. Thanks guys, when I save up enough money I will start updating with pictures.
