Is spruce poisonous to blue tounges?

As Christmas is coming up, my family want to put the Christmas tree in the living room. But because the blue tounges are in the living room aswell we were wondering if it would be a bad idea because we have a real spruce Christmas tree. I was just wondering if spruce was poisonous to blue tounges because I also handle one of them only in the living room and I didn't want him to get ill or die from being near the tree or accidently touching one of the needles if they happend to fall when he was near the tree.

I remember reading that softwoods, such as spruce, should not be used to build enclosures because they can be toxic. But, i dont know about the foliage.

Ok thankyou so it's going to be better if we didn't bring the Christmas tree in then.

You would be totally fine having a Christmas tree in the same room; it'd even be fine if he brushed up against it.
The wood itself and the needles do contain highly aromatic oils that can be irritating to reptiles, but that's talking about them LIVING on top of the wood or needles. I suppose there can be a case of a reptile being highly sensitive to even the scent in the air, but I've never heard of such a thing yet.
