Can you help me identify?

Thinking about getting this little guy, I don't think he's a northern but I just want to make sure so I don't get the wrong type of substrate. I've heard that some subspecies need a higher humidity level and I know aspen doesn't hold it as well as other options. Thanks for the help! I can get better pictures tomorrow if this one isn't good enough.

I've got some better pictures. Does she look healthy? I'm a bit concerned about the area around her mouth.

She actually looks in good condition. She looks to have a few stuck scales, but that'll come off eventually. Nothing to bad from the pictures.

To answer your question you originally posted, you are correct; T. g. gigas need high humidity. The substrate she is on in the picture is fine. ReptiBark, Orchid bark, Cypress mulch, etc. are all fine, too. Have a look at the FAQ sub-forum for a list of more substrates.
