Was recently watching one of David Attenborough's lizard documentaries where he covered the Pygmy's, was really interesting to see them in there homes and such really good they are going to try to breed them would be a shame if they did ever go extinct.

A prime example of how it may benefit the species getting some animals into a few different keepers hands,im suprised they havnt bred any yet
Its great they are trying to and all but its frustrating how they bang on about how threatened and vunerable they are and how they could suffer if a natural disaster hits there small range,yet they havnt had any luck breeding any yet,makes you feel confident there in good hands hey,lol
Ive heard whispers of some animals in private keepers hands in nsw,but not sure if theres any truth to that

Quite amazing! To me, T. adelaidensis look like the intermediary mutt of Egernia and Tiliqua. 
It will be interesting to see how strictly they actually "care" for spider burrows in captivity.

Hmm, they've technically had a breeding program at the Adelaide Zoo for many years. One wonders what they are suddenly doing differently that would make the blue tongues all frisky!
The display enclosure at the zoo is definitely less than optimal, so hopefully that isn't a reflection of where they are keeping their breeding population of skinks.
