Fumigation...

So my appartments are being fumegated and me and my family are gonna be staying in a Hotel of some sort for about 3 days/2nights. I have NO idea what do put my bluey in to take him with me? What about heat, and uvb? I'm a bit stressed and worried, that it will cause my skink stress as well... help.

3 nights is nothing and he won't get MBD for not having UV for 72 hours

How old is your skink or what's his weight?

If he's an adult you probably won't even need a heat source, just don't feed him a week before so food won't rot in his stomach

If he's a baby you can bring a heating pad to warm one end of his container

I'd use his current bedding so the container/rubber maid/storage tote smells familiar

I strongly recommend that you remove your lizard whilst the apartment is being fumigated, as it sounds like you're intending to do. Either take it with you or get a capable friend to look after it. If you decide to take it with you, the easiest thing to do is just keep it in an inside out calico bag or cotton pillow slip, securely tied. It can stay comfortably and safe like that, as long as you protect it from extremes of temperature. You can take it out temporarily when you're in the apartment to offer it some water or give it some sunlight through a window to allow it to bask (optional). Just make sure that you keep an eye on it/supervise it at all times when it is free-ranging. A very large i.e high-sided cardboard box from the supermarket or hardware store makes a good temporary storage unit if you want to not have to constantly keep an eye on it whilst it sun bakes. Alternatively if you have no sunlight available when you're in the apartment, just nurse it, as in let it sit on your warm lap or hold it in your hands until it reaches P.B.T (preferred or optimal body temperature).

I would also cover the lizards enclosure with a relatively airtight covering to keep the fumes out or else the chemicals will settle in the tank and they are usually toxic to herps and they have a long half-life.

My skink is a northern 5 months old, I don't know his weight but he's pretty chunky and at a good size.
I was thinking of getting some sort of container, like the ones breeders use or something, and putting his bedding (aspen) in it and a hide or something just so he can be comfortable sleeping and stuff. For heat or basking I'll just take him outside or near a window. Will he not be able to dijest to well with out heat?

For reptiles to digest food they need warmth to heat them up, so if they eat and then there is no way for them to bask to warm up the food stays inside there stomach and then rots instead of it being digested and being pooped out.
As Dood said just don't feed him for the week before hand and during the fumigation, that will make sure there is a no food in him, won't harm him to go a few days without warmth if there's no food in him.

Any Rubbermaid or even a plastic cat or dog crate/carrier will work (as long as he cannot squeeze through the front door) - or, as Tiliqua mentioned, you can put him in a fabric pillow case/snake bag so he cannot escape (he will feel very safe and secure and be less stressed if he can hunker down and not be bothered) but DONT give him heat if he's in a small bag and cannot move away if he feels too hot

He won't need food or water - remember that when brumating they go months without either

I know this isn't a disaster, but as long as you keep a small container away from direct heat, something like this should be fine for your Northern while away.
Good point about covering your reptile tank with something before leaving. Something like Glad Press'n Seal wrap should work well.

Thank you all so much, so I'm defintly gonna go with Susann's idea! Sounds like the best to me! I might purchase some heat pads just incase and let him bask outside or something during those three days at the hotel. I'm gonna keep his cage at a friends house, so no chemicals get in and all that junk. It's best to just remove the whole thing anyways.. The fumigation isn't till November anyways, so I should be ready. THANKS GUYS
