Chasing a cat toy

Tequilo was chasing this cat toy, this is about the fastest he'll move, lol. Do you think he was chasing it because he was curious, possibly playing or do you think he thought it was food? He has never been a 'hunt down his prey' type, which is why I'm curious. He has very little interest in live foods, will take them every once in while but only phoenix or wax worms. I've tried crickets, dubias, hornworms, butterworms, superworms and red wigglers...absolutely no interest, and yet he'll eat practically anything else.

I still get a laugh at how messy Tequilo gets while eating. Even the baby, who goes right into the dish, doesn't get as messy lol
It's funny because when we first got Tequilo, he had hissed a few times at my son and then he was scared of him lol. So for a few months, my son hardly handled him. For me, Tequilo was always fine but I spent a lot more time with him...and then my son got jealous of how cute and good Tequilo would be with me but not with him. Then, as I've mentioned in other posts, Tequilo's personality really came around a few months ago and the 2 of them have since started a new bonding. Now my son is so proud of him!
Duma scared me, I almost didn't notice him in his cage until he had lifted his head to look at me
Duma isn't shy like Tequilo was at this age, such a little sweetie
Never noticed the pre-shed white belly before, then I see the both of them with white bellies within a week apart lol
