Pink belly turned white. Normal?

I just realized a few minutes ago that Tequilo's belly has turned all white. He used to have a deep salmon-pink colored belly. Is this normal? I ask because I do keep his substrate moist and the thought crossed my mind that maybe I'm making it too moist and that's why his undersides are lightening? Sort of like when we take too long of a bath and our fingers and toes get pale? That's not what's going on with him is it?

Have you seen him shed before? One of mine is very red, but turn completely white about two weeks before a shed.

I've had him about 7 months, he's been shedding regularly. His last shed was about 1-2 weeks ago. That's him in my profile pic a few months ago, you can see a little bit of the pinkish color he used to have. It's just so weird because I handle him and have him out every single day and yet I just noticed this!

I thought the same thing, that's amazing! That's so interesting, I guess mine has probably done this before and I never noticed it?!

Sure enough, he shed last night (of course it happened 2 days after I put in all new substrate lol) and his belly is back to original color. That was so cool, I can't believe I never noticed that before!

Any chance you can take a belly shot of him would like to see it compared to the white pictures in your first post, and that sucks i wait til they shed before i clean out the enclosure and put new substrate in

Not quite the contrast as all that red in Susann's but I think you can see the difference
Excuse the bad pic, my camera battery was dying and couldn't use flash. But look at this pitiful face! The shed was right near his eye and he kept trying to rub his face on my hand but it creeped me out being so close to his eye! The floor looks so bare because someone gave me a plastic snake hide which Tequilo quickly took over but he made the whole thing tip up when he tried to get out of it, lol. I don't know if that face was because of his shed or he wanted me to fix his house lol!
