Hey there, everyone. I'm Marianne, and I'm new to BTS, though not new to reptiles. I plan on getting one in the next year or so, and all of the pictures on the BTS caresheet for enclosures are currently broken.

Show off your enclosures. I want to see what you've created for your animals! If you would like to be doubly helpful, you can include a list of what you have in your enclosure. :p

Here are some of mine. These are CB-110 tubs, which are 39" x 20". Larger than a 40 gallon breeder enclosure. They are quite large (but appear small in photos).


My locking system.

Lids taken off showing all the sphagnum moss.

Vera also hiding - sorta.


This set up is similar to what Joe Ball does with his Australian stuff. Differences are I use moss, instead of hay (can't use hay for Tiliqua gigas), and I use orchid bark instead of butcher's paper. Humidity stays between 80-82%, constantly.

Hey Dakota, Are those tubs flat on their bottoms or raised in places? How tall are they? looks interesting.

They have "bars" of raised places, but they are only ever so slightly raised, unlike Sterilite, which have quite large humps.

I only have one Bluey , so he is spoiled. His favorite things have been waterfalls. The first one burned out after about a year, but the new one (not pictured here) is going strong.

I use vision v332 cages, couple cave hides, wood decor, and a turf carpet.

blotchy and eastern outdoor cage,used to be a 6 metre by 4 metre but i subdivided so i could keep vic alpines one side amd vic lowlands the other,and also seperate gippsland and eastern water dragons

You win Richard!!! Love those Eastern WDs, used to have a breeder here in the states but after his unfortunate passing the breeding farm was sold, not hearing anything about continued breeding. Had a few of those years ago, awesome animals.

My enclosure that I have almost finished. Used wood I had left over in the shed from a bunch of projects. It has come out pretty well so far!

i believe a chap in florida has a group of burts old animals,splashy,got some babies last season,hoping to do better rhis coming season

Thank you, Richard. I was lucky enough to meet Bert personally back in the day, he came to a Long Island Herp Society meeting and had a discussion, brought some animals (my first Argentine tegu) and somewhere in the archives I have a picture taken with him. Bert and Hester were an awesome addition to the reptile hobby. I was actually planning a trip to his place that never materialized. OK, don't want to get kicked into off topic, so will say something about that awesome home made enclosure! My skinks are kept quite spartan compared to some of you guys! (But if I only had one reptile he'd have half the apartment!!) Happy Friday all!
