Abnormal poop, again...

Recently my skink had some very wet feces, I took some to the vet, the feces looks normal under microscope, except he found some spring-like things,they dont move at all, and the vet have no idea what those things are.
Is there anyone here who knows this thing?
And any advice to solve the "wet poop"situation?H have 2 meals every week with chicken, beef, and some bok choy, I also gave him some watermelon(and part of it isn't digested, that's the main reason that i took him to vet for i saw some red things in poop), the basking sport is around 98°F, should be good but i feel that he more like to stay in cool end.

I am not sure what they are either but,if i had to guess, they are some sort of fiber. That is most certainly not any type of parasite I have ever seen... I would purchase myself a microscope and start checking out my carpet and other fabrics to see if I can't find the same thing elsewhere. Of course, that is just me.

Vet think it can be fiber too,but where can that come from? I do made a hide with carpet but he never bit that.

BTS's rub their noses everywhere that they go. They do this because in the wild they bury themselves a lot and tend to hangout just below the leaf litter and thick grasses.

So, it could have came from anywhere. It could have just gotten caught on a scale around the mouth and then eaten later or it could have gotten caught on its tongue was sniffing around. Pinpointing the exact method it got inside is difficult. But, there are several ways it could have gotten eaten without having to bite the carpet.

Best you can do is search for the location the fiber came from. Which, honestly, could be an even bigger task lol.



But, keep an eye on her and see how she does. As long as she is passing the fibers, it is ok. It's when they don't pass and get stuck/tangled inside is when it is a big deal... Lots of things can cause abnormal poop. Too much fruit is the number 1 cause for my girl. She ate 4 strawberries one day because my son kept giving them to her (he is 3) and the next 2 days were the worst poops I have ever seen, lol.

That can most certainly be bacteria. Glad someone else chimed in with more knowledge than I!

Thanks for the information,although if it's bacteria,should it be swiming? Cause all the spirals are stay still,and looks much much bigger than all other bacterias.

Your vet should be able to tell if they are bacteria. :/ If they are indeed fibres, they could easily have been licked off the carpet when your BTS flicks his tongue at it. I would take out anything with the carpet on it, and see if there is improvement in his poop. In my totally amateur and uneducated view, it doesn't look like bacterial infection diarrhea, just really really mucous-y, so maybe the ingested carpet fibres are irritating his intestines?
