DIY Fogger/Humidifier

I was so sick of spraying and I really could only spike the humidity but rarely kept it over 40% so I started looking up foggers and such. I was going to go buy the zoo med one but apparently it is a piece of crap that breaks and you have to refill it all the time so I kept looking and saw some youtube vids of people taking normal humidifiers like you would use for a child and converting them to a fogger so I tried it. I got a cool mist humidifier from target, for like $30 in the baby section, that doesn't have a vent per se but spouts the mist off in a way that you can corral it and then I bought some tubing from a hardware store. I took the cap off and stuck the tube in it and just wrapped duct tape around it until it sealed up and it works pretty well. I'll probably eventually take the tape off and use some silicone to get a better seal because I do lose some mist from not being completely air tight with the tape but it works none the less and it didn't take much effort.

I'm sure this has been talked about before but I just wanted to report how easy and effective it was for me. I went from constantly spraying and not getting consistent humidity to no spraying and low humidity on arid days of 60-70% to up to 80% on more humid days. I can turn it up or down to increase or decrease the humidity and even on full blast I only have to fill it once a day, or less if I crank it down. Anyone who has an Indonesian species that needs higher humidity should give this a shot because it works and it is cheap and easy to do.
