BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Our approx 3 month old blotchy recently shed. After 5-6 days from start it didn't progress so with a soak and some olive oil I got all shed off the body including toes and tip of tail. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=28128&p=469506#p469506

There is still some skin that hasn't shed completely off the head - on the bit where the head meets the neck there is a bit of skin to be shed that has lifted up but otherwise I can't see an obvious skin lift over the head and the snout. The skin around the ears shed clear on its own and his eyes are clear.

Should I help it off or leave it alone?

Just another bath , rob from the neck forward to the snout gently it should lift easily once softenend. Also check the feet and the end of the tail.

Wooo! I hope I dont have this problem mine is still running away as soon as I walk in the room haha. Good looking lizard! Now I have an alpine blotchie they maybe my favorite Blue Tongue!

Scott that's incredible. And I thought trying to bathe and shed ONE was a handful!

Surprisingly Matt, Treasure stayed VERY still while I held him trying to get the shed skin off, both times and it took a really long time because I was so nervous about it! And yes, I agree you are very lucky to have one of Scott's batch. They are awesome and very well cared for. (little jealous over here)
