Morio worms
Is it ok to give "Morio" worms to my BTS? he is a Merauke and about 1yr old, only got him yesterday, the guy I bought him off said his favourite food is Kiwi and Mangos, but wanted to see what other things he may like and be good for him I know about all the other foods etc to give him, just not sure about these types of worm.

Google and bearded dragon forums are telling me that's just another name for superworms, which are okay as a treat, definitely, but not a very good protein staple (low nutrition, low protein, lots of chitin). Not too sure about the exact method of feeding them to him would be though, as I keep seeing people say to cut the heads off?

I think this will help you out if you haven't looked at it already. http://bluetongueskinks.net/foodchart.html I occasionally feed my other reptiles mealworms or superworms but like dubia roaches more as a staple. I haven't tried superworms or mealworms on my BTS and really do not plan to. There are so many better worms out there such as silkworms, Phoenix worms, hornworms and even earthworms. Superworms and mealworms are the most convenient but I'll take nutrition over conveniency any day.

Going off that they are super worms I don't recommend them. They have a very obvious stench and very little to no nutritional value. If your looking to feed live prey you may wanna try dubia roaches or wax worms. Personally my little guy dislikes live prey and prefers slightly warm shredded turkey.
