BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Well I posted a pic of this guy when I first brought him home, in September last year. I thought it was time to post some more. As you can see, he is coming along brilliantly. He is a little shy but is getting bolder with me all the time. He eats a mixture of "normal" blue tongue food (dog food, mince, eggs, fruits and vegetables) and live food.

^^^^ hahahah I second that, Ron! What a spectacular animal you have there, I never get tired of seeing pics of nice westerns and yours is about as nice as they come! Keep the pictures coming!!!

What a beauty! Sure wish they were within reach around here! Never even seen one outside of internet and pages of a book. Thanks for the treat, and would mortgage my life just to hold him!

Haha.you had me worried for a sec then Mark

important leaning towards it being male,but these guys can be tricky,especially younger ones,keep an eye out for sperm plugs,mine drops like crazy in spring and gets quite a bit of seminal buldging

i havnt had a ton of these guys but found females to usually be solider ,bigger heads,fatter tails ,but younger males could be just as solid so not always a given

occi on here has kept and bred a ton of these and still finds sexing visually to be tricky

Yeah I had a feeling they wouldn't be easy. Ridiculously expensive and hard to sex. Challenge accepted

probably if affordable buying into babies can help with female ratios,have to agree with spandangle,does look like your typical geraldton type specimen,but they can vary alot in wa so hard to say for sure
