I was wondering how big exactly a halmahera can get, mine is just about 17 inches long and 3 inches wide, hes about 2 years and it's been almost 2 months since he last shed. Is this possibly the biggest he may get?

im going to guess its still going to grow, once they get up to that age/size growth just often slows down abit and is not quite as noticable

Average is 20-21". 17" seems small. My Riley is 17" and he is just 13 months old.

Feeding should speed up growth, right? If so, I think I'll feed him in bigger quantities. Main reason I asked is because the other day I saw a baby, straight out from the momma, and I saw how small it was, and when I got Azuur, he was quite bigger than that and I feel it's possible he could be well over 18 months, plus the long shed. Could cold temperatures slow down shedding? It's been pretty cold at nights here in florida

I have two, both adults and the same age. One is 21" and the other is 18". The larger one has been more robust since acquired as a baby. Both have been fed the exact same diet.

Slowing down of growth with postpone shedding. But cold temperatures postpone appetites, it is counteractive. It has been a little chilly. I always brought the Halmaheras when it got 59° or below.
