BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

All seven of them!

They were born today, 27 Jan at lunchtime while I was out (of course )
Barnum is now a lot thinner, hungry and very bad tempered.

The little skinkies aren't that small either. No wonder she wouldn't eat. I have no idea how she managed to have seven of them.

Richard, she was huge. She had trouble breathing and wouldn't eat. She's one bad tempered blotchie at the moment. Fed her twice today. And she was tired. Curled up under her heat lamp while these baby skinks were exploring. The little ones are ok and are already shedding. They're really cute.

Haha,yes some females turn very narky around birthing time,most of mine dont change at all but some do go nuts,one lowlands female i used to have you could always tell if gravid because if not she was a timid hider,but if up the duff,even very early after mating she turned into the nother of all nut jobs and if u stepped into outdoor cage she would charge over at you full tilt and procede to attack your shoes,she never really got fat or showed laboured breathing,just had the whole jekyl and hide thing going on,lol

She will be back to her old self before to long,well hopefully for you,lol

Yeah I've learned the hard way not to wear sandals into the outdoor enclosure when there are babies around. :-)

Haha,can br bad enough doing that way out of baby season at my place,though couple of seasons ago i did have my lol siss going in looking for babies when i couldbt get down,she quickly learnt sandals in there are a big no no when one grabbed onto her big toe,lol
