poop again..

hi guys, I recently separated my pair of blueys as they started biting each other. Its been 2 weeks now and they are both in 4 foot tanks with a warm/basking end and a cool end. We went away for a week (their first week separated) but had a house sitter that kept their usual diet. What concerns me is that the one I moved to a new enclosure hasn't pooped at all in the last week and hasn't eaten much, and the big guy that stayed in the usual enclosure has only pooped once this week. before we went away there was almost always one poop a day. The one I moved (Lulu) is out and about far more often then she used to be, so she seems pretty settled. Do you think they are just adjusting to the change in circumstances? (note, its summer here at the moment).

oh and should add, both guys have been very active and are eating.

Generally not seeing poop for a while is no cause for concern. When changes happen it is normal for pooping schedules to change as well.
Possibilities are many for the cause, for example:
A) they may still be pooping normally but have started doing it under the substrate
B) they may be pooping on the warm side and the poop dries and gets buried in the substrate before you see it
C) the caretaker didn't handle as much as you normally do, so their digestion slowed down
D) being separated they now experience less stress, so their digestion slowed down
E) even though they seem active, they may be moving less than normal, therefore not pooping as often. This could be due to them getting a bit older as well --I'm assuming they are young if they used to poop once every day until recently.

Oh thanks Susann I only just saw this, yes I think its abit of all of that, I'm almost certain the bigger guy was eating most of the food so pooping more, they are both eating smaller meals now and I'm certainly seeing less stress from one of them at least. thanks for addressing my question
