Scale Health Question
Hey, thanks everyone for the help! Since you guys are the experts i just wanted to ask your opinion on if Dave's scales are all good and everything because i think for the most part he looks fine but there are some oddly colored scales all around and i just want to make sure they're nothing bad and it's just the way his pattern is.

Re: Scale Health Question
His scales look fine to me
The black webbing between them is normal for Indonesians (or Meraukes)
He still looks a bit skinny to my eye but it's only been a month and you don't want to fatten him up too quickly and I think he has gained some muscle since his last pictures. Are you weighing him weekly to see what his growth curve looks like?

Re: Scale Health Question
As long as it goes up
I did one for my skink and noticed he gained less on chicken or quail then on the rabbit or beef meals so it wasn't a nice smooths curve but peaked or dipped a bit, but always went up and is still slowly rising after 17 months old.

Re: Scale Health Question
I don't see anything oddly colored nor does he look overly skinny for such a tiny little baby
A little extra to draw from wouldn't hurt though.
Gorgeous skink, congrats!

Re: Scale Health Question
As you probably saw on there, hes only a little bit longer than my hand so do either of you have any idea how old that would probably make him? (just curious)

Re: Scale Health Question
I've never had newborn BTS but I believe they are about 4 to 6 inches (9 to 15 centimetres) long at birth so your guy is still very young

Re: Scale Health Question
I would say he's max a couple months old.
