blotchie post brumation shedding

For breeders of blotchies that may look out for this,over the years i see both sexes shed at similar time post brumation,males generallu shed first before showing any interest in females ,in pic above is the last male shedding,oh,i think,there may still be a young fella that hasnt yet,the one on top of pile is a female just starting or about to start,late in day and ciol day so she will probably shed tomorrow,the high black one has shed yesterday or today as well and big old lass is in blue so not far behind

Males still havnt shown any interest,inconsistant weather messing with ambient temps,not even any male niggling yet,but any time now

Always hear about males needing to shed first ,is it just me or do others females shed post brumation like the males to

I dont see males waking first,ever,usually a good mix of sexes at same time,sometimes even heavilu female biased,its cold here and spring can take a while to kick in with consistant reasonable weather,which can delay mating,even feeding well to later in spring,these guys are already eating pretty well,have shed so its very close to outdoor blotchie porn season,im always one of the last to get there

The lowland group at home habnt even shed yet.few easterns have recently,so see what happens,one plus of waiting is it allows me to pump some food in to them prior to breeding,some that are still low on weight from previous year benefit more in particular,some that come out of brumation low on weight from previous uear often suprise me by bulking up and following up with another litter,wau more consistant if they go into brumation carrying good weight though

Oh on cool days they often bask in piles,probably warm them selves better and helps to retain that warmth.that and its probably the best basking spot,normally get a few piles like this which include cunninghams,easterns and waterdragons
