BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

How common is an X shaped band marking on blue tongue skinks?I've only seen a picture of a couple and it makes me curious.

It isn't all that uncommon, especially with the T. gigas subspecies.

Interesting,and thank you for your response,im still learning and I'm hoping to get my first blue tongue sometime later this year or next year,i would like to get a northern.

Ive seen a lot of "x" patterns on northerns onto of the hips right before the tail. My first litter of northerns this year has 3 babies with that little x

I named my first litter based on the patterns. There was M, L, O, X, Y, Z, QD, TP (stood for tiny-placenta, not a pattern), XY, etc. It's almost more uncommon to have perfect bands all the way down, or a perfect zig-zag. X's and Y's are very common. O's are somewhat more rare.
