Freshpet Dog Food
Has anyone else tried the Freshpet brand dog food. It's the kind that has to be refrigerated. I personally like it for adding variety to the diet. It's grain free and looks like real meat! The only downside I've found is that it does have some spinach in it, which I only feed sparingly. I honestly hardly ever feed dog food but this brand is really neat in my opinion.

The fact it contains spinach is the only reason I don't use it. Spinach and calcium don't get along too well and can prevent the calcium from being absorbed properly. Not a big deal for larger animals; but our reptiles rely on proper calcium absorption to prevent MBD. If I could find a spinach-free version, I'd try it.
Lately, I've been feeding my BTS this catfood called Abound. It's not a patte like most other foods are and it has bits of carrots and peas in it. My guy likes it.

Re: Freshpet Dog Food
I don't think spinach is bad if fed in really small amounts (like once every three months). It does add variety. To be honest, it didn't have that much spinach in it anyway. However, I just fed the skinks and they didn't clear their bowl, which never happens. This was just to try it out lol. I LOVE the Earthborn brand of dog food. Each one looks like a tiny pot roast. Haha.
