BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I have a really great piece of driftwood i used to use in Toothless's tank until i left it up at school. since then, it has grown a little bit of mold on it. I would love to still be able to use it because I really think its a great piece of wood for him and he loves it, so i was wondering what the best method would be to go about cleaning it.

Scrub it with a tooth brush dipped in a 1:4 vinegar and water solution to get mold and any dirt or loose bits off then boil it

or if it too big to fit in a pot you can pour boiling water over it - try to use a catch basin so you can re-use the hot water and get all sides of the wood scorched.
