How much substrate will I need?

How much substrate will I need?

I know there is probably a mathematical way of figuring this out, but I'm lazy. What size bag, or how many bags of substrate will I need for a 18x36 inch(WxL) terrarium? I want to have a good layer of substrate for my bluey to burrow in, and I'm wondering how much to buy.

Personally, it took 2 big bags of substrate to fully coat the floor of the enclosure, as well as give a couple inches worth of burrowing capability :)

I think it all depends on what youre using, i know alot of the aspen stuff comes packed real tight , but fluffs out, why not just get more than enough, youll need it in the long run for replacing during cleanings anyways.
