BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

This is my new baby northern from Mel!
I have decided to name him/her Vegas (Vega for short). So far its all hissing and hiding. However he has been getting out and roaming a bit at times so I hope he will start to get less cranky.

Edit: Should I be worried if he is not eating really yet? He came on Thursday but wont come out of his hide to eat or bask

I love seeing photos of the babies in their new homes! The pictures always look so much better than the ones I take

My first baby a got a month ago was very cranky the first few days. I got the puff and hiss and the classic tongue waving when I put his water dish in the first time. Calmed down a lot now. No more hissing.

I'll be taking more pictures and updating the thread as he grows up.
We made progress yesterday! I was able to feed him some food off of a fork! Which was good since he hadn't really been eating yet. He's also been exploring a bit more so I'm looking forward to seeing him out and about more!

It seems like unless I lift up his hide and put a spoon of food near his mouth he wont eat. Should I be worried? I have left food in his enclosure before and he will not come out to eat it.
