Sorry the pics aren't all that great. I was more concerned with them running off lol.

I think they are both boys but have no confirmation yet. I welcome any guesses on sex.

They have turned out beautiful! If I was forced to sex them, I'd say female, especially the Merauke.

I'm definitely happy with the way they both turned out. Rocko, my northern's colors really come out after a shed, especially those yellow sides. The back is a nice golden color, very low contrast. I especially like the white speckles on the side!

And Apollo, my Merauke is a real stunner. The pictures don't do him/her justice. The back stripes are almost red and the stomach and back are a really bright orange.

I really hope they both are female! I'm not sure why I think their males, just always thought they were. I'm going to be slowly building up the collection to breed over the next couple of years. I have to get some good ideas about their sex though. I'm currently negotiating on a matching vision cage on CL and hopefully bring it home soon. Going to be looking for low contrast/light colored northern to pair with Rocko-especially if I can find one with those same white speckles on the side. And going to be looking for another bright Merauke to pair with Apollo.
