BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

This is Henry, one of my young adult northerns. He/she was bred by Sweet Arrow Reptiles here in PA and was born on May 31st, 2013. When introduced to a confirmed male northern the male ignores and Henry waves head, wags tail slow and exaggerated, and follows the male with its head as he wanders around and ignores the other bts. Even shimmied hips slowly back and forth.

Any thoughts on sex?

Based on the behavior, I'd say possibly female, and maybe the male just wasn't feeling up to responding. I know females will wave their tails to entice a male, sometimes, if the male is being reluctant or ignoring them.

Does look like a female,just a note on behaviour sexing,2 of my young adult males are doing that same behaviour right now,to females,minus the head waving though,with more of a bobbing of the head,males often shinmi the hips so to speak to get aroused,and both sexes can tail wag,females normally turn it to a raised tail in the breeding season with or with out raising and waving there heads

To confuse things more ,i have a female now that arches back at male,which he does back and they bite at each other like 2 males having a go,this female has closed her window for the season now

I would also guess female - more from the following-with-head than the tail-wagging. Many of my skinks will tail wag, but my females have the stare-down perfected for when they're not in the mood for the boys.
