BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Hello all! It was brought to my attention recently that my skink might have a calcium deficiency... I have never owned a reptile, let alone a skink, before getting my bluey, and so I still feel very new to this. However, I had thought I was doing well in supplying him with calcium. His diet consists of 40-50% dark, leafy greens (or broccoli) + calcium powder with every meal. And with the occasional high calcium fruity treat. The reason I'm asking what everyone here's opinion is, is because someone pointed out to me that his neck looks a little strange and that it could be a calcium deficiency, despite how much calcium I feel I am feeding him. I had thought his neck was just a bit bigger than some skinks, because it looks generally proportionate to his body, but perhaps I am wrong? I don't want to not do anything about this and regret it later, so please tell me your opinion! Thank you! The pictures I am providing have been taken over the coarse of a few months. I apologize that I can't take any better ones. The first few pictures were after I had awoken from a nap today, so he looks rather grumpy.

The neck looks perfectly fine to me, and anyways calcium deficiencies usually manifest themselves in thebtail and back first. From what I can see, your skink is healthy.

I can see the pictures. A full-body shot (top-down is great) is the best way to see body condition. But from the pictures so far he looks to be in good shape. I'll add that if he regularly climbs the walls like in that one photo he's likely to get a dip in his spine (it's not MBD, not harmful, just annoying to look at).

I have full body shots, but they are somewhat old now. I'll try to post a full body shot soon though, thanks for the tip! But thank you, I sure do hope he is fine. He used to climb the walls often, but doesn't much anymore, thankfully. That picture was from several months back.

No, the place holders just tell me I'm not authorized to view them.

EDIT: Ok, looks as though some sites are getting smart with AdBlock. Once I shut it down, I was able to see the images. Odd that I can go to the gallery and see them with AdBlock on.

Got to love when folk worry people by saying mbd,lol,looks perfectly normal to me,as was mentioned earlier signs are often seen first in there tail then lower back area,sometimes in the mouth area to,a current full body picture should clear up any concerns u may have,looks like a nice healthu northern
