That is the aspen I use for my northern. It's great for northerns, but if you need extra humidity, look for a different substrate.

@donkeybuff would this be a better choice than aspen snake bedding because I use the aspen snake bedding but compared to that its cheaper and its bigger?

Yup, this is shaved aspen (flakes) which is IMO the good kind. There is also shredded aspen which looks like little slivers, which I really dislike.

It is for a Northern so awesome.
I was going to try to keep SOME humidity by putting a little humind box. Or just some moss around.

I prefer this over the reptile aspen for the same reason that Fatal mentioned, since the slivers can get caught in the eyes. It's also way cheaper.
