Rescue Halmahera Just Arrived....

It was a bit tricky getting her here but with the help of Larissa Lurid from the facebook bluey group we managed to save this poor little Halmahera.
I found her on craigslist last thurdays up in conneticut (im in pa) for sale with a baby savannah monitor. You could see instantly there was something not quite right with her so I asked for some info and more pics. The pics I got were....horrible.
I try not to condemn right off the bat so nudged for some more info. He told me 3-4 months ago he had gotten her in worse shape from a local pet shop that told him the scabs in the mouth, bones showing and skin taught to the body was normal for these guys. Then they charged him $280. He was totally new to reptiles but still new something wasn't quite right so tried to rehab her himself but only had the info armed from the pet shop. Info like, only feed fruit, mainly bananas, and don't offer water, they don't need it. He's new to the country he said so is still getting the hang of the internet so didn't think of looking up a caresheet.
Anywho, long story short, I knew Larissa lived not too far from him so I contacted her and asked if she would be willing to go pick her up and ship her down here to pa for me. She agreed and sunday night went to pick up the bts and shipped her out Monday with the label id ordered the night before.
And now here she is
And what a gorgeous little Hally she is. But it's gonna be a long road to recovery but thankfully she's no wheres near as bad as my Renny was 6 months ago when she came to me. A vet visit is scheduled for Monday but in the meantime the home rehab starts. Beginning with a nice lunch and a soak in some perdialyte to help replenish all those lost electrolytes.
I really want to thank everyone here to, it's the knowledge I've been armed with here and on the facebook group that's allowed me to take these rescue bts in. You are all such amazing folks with so much experience and knowledge to share and I really look up to so many of you Thank you for being such an awesome community of bluey lovers
