BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I post some problem about strange red on the head of my skink two weeks ago...
He didn't show any thing wrong yet:no diarrhea,eat a lot,no strange behavior or noise...
But when I check him today,I noticed that the red place looks serious...like there's some bleed infected wounds and blisters under scales...

I don't use bulb a lot since it's very hot now...Is this like a parasite problem?I never dealt with parasite problem,the only vet around here who know something about lizards only did surgery on green iguana to remove the parasite...
I used some erythromycin ointment on that place but I don't think it will help...
Oh,he seems dont feel uncomfortable when I touch his head...but I'm not sure...

Anyway I shall take him to the vet tomorrow...hope he got his luck...

I agree with you, it does look bad. It is right of you to see the vet. I won't be able to help with what it might be though, I'm sorry

You're right, that is not normal. Hopefully the vet knows what's wrong.

Well now I'm back from the vet...he said it's not like a parasite since no other sign beside the blister...He thinks it's a subcutaneous hematoma which will dissolve in three weeks...
But since it may be his second time to check a BTS ...I still want to have some opinions from here...and dose any one know the symptoms of subcutaneous parasite?

OK,not parasite for sure now...Yig is shedding today...the blood come out under the old scale,looks like scratch now...I cleaned the wound and used some erythromycin ointment to prevent infection(would it be OK?)
I still have no idea about what caused the wound...I know he sometimes push the barks and stones around,but if that left the scratch,it would bleed on the skin,but under the skin,right?

He's good I think,but today I found some orange spot in his poop...I didn't feed carrot for a week,the red part don't move and don't like egg(soft,like mud,but orange)...
Is It possible that some food left belly for more than one week?

Thats unlikely... I would talk to either your vet again or someone who cares for many skinks.. Thats definitely something to look into..

thanks for advice...though the poop been throw away...I'll keep in mind next time...

Ok,I think the orange part in the poop are the carrot I feed him ten days ago,for they don't appear today,just some chicory fibers...

I saw this same thing on a chameleon at a reptile store two days ago. I didn't ask what it was though...
