New Questions
Hello I have some more questions on my new blue tongue skink, firstly there is a faint brown mark on his lower lip, some discoloration around his mouth and, a strange grey wound on his head

Re: New Questions
I can't see any issues in the photos, I can't tell anything from the first couple but the last one has a scale that hasn't shed yet... is that what you're seeing, a few scales that haven't come off yet? I don't see anything to be concerned about.

Re: New Questions
No worries, always good to check is you aren't sure. They sometimes have odd looking scales, unless you see any redness inside the mouth or signs of infection (which I don't think it a concern from those pictures) you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Re: New Questions
Looks like just some mild damage to me? Gideon got this when I first started keeping him and I was terrified! But it went away after a few sheds. We came to the conclusion he had just injured the scales when he had preemptively attacked the feeding tongs instead of the bug at the end of them. Silly blueys. It should heal up fine, just watch to make sure it doesn't go red or painful looking =)
