missing eyelid scales
my six year old skink (unsure of sex but have been told that may be a girl) Hannibal has recently come down with some strange disease where the corners of her mouth and eyes crust up aswell as some toes on her right foot at first my vet percribed baytril which had no effect it was only after a vitamin A injection and some antibiotic eye drops that it had mostly cleared up that some of the scales on her left eye lid seem completely gone if anyone has any experience with this could they tell me weather the scales would come back after her next shed or is it likely to be permanently gone. thank you for any information you would be able to provide

Re: missing eyelid scales
I've had a skink with the exact same condition. His eyelids on one eye were almost completely gone and toward the end he could not close it all the way.
I would guess that they are permanently gone. It may get slightly better provided the condition stays in check, but if his eyes worsen again, I would suggest you take anything abrasive out of his tank so he can't rub his eyes against them.

Re: missing eyelid scales
As long as the eye is able to close enough that his eye doesn't dry out, I don't think it affects his vision. But that's very hard to tell.
