New owner question need help
I just bought a blue tongue skink about 2 months ago and have had a very hard time getting him to eat seems like he won't eat veggies at all he will eat a cockroach and a pinkie mouse from time to time just worried about his nutrition. And I just noticed today that he has some red spots on his head there not cuts was one of the first things I thought. Could someone plz help me figure out some ideas thanks

Can you post a picture? Skinks that have a good amount of extra fat on them can go for long periods without eating much at all. You should start worrying if you see noticeable weight loss. Veggies are usually hard to feed unless mixed in with dog food or coated in raw egg. A picture would also help with the red spots.

Covering veggies in banana mush has worked for me with my picky eater and bananas seem like a favorite fruit among these guys so try that along with eggs and dog food?

That looks like some type of dried up liquid.
Have you fed any fruit? It could be juice from a strawberry.
I personally think that it is blood from the pinky though.

Is there anything he can rub his head on in his enclosure? Like a rough rock or wood or anything he could have scraped it on? Have you tried wiping it to see if it comes off? Could he have fallen at all and scraped his head or anything fallen on his head?

I do have a drift wood log in there but there is no rough edges anywhere on it sanded them all off and no he couldn't have fallen cause I'm the only one that handles him and he has never fallen on my watch
