Keis Revisited

Been into photographing the skinks again lately - especially the Keis (though they're all inside shots - can't wait til it's warm enough here to take them outside again). Here's just 4 of them:

All imported Nov. 2013...

This is the smaller (sub-)adult female who was 230 g. at importation; now 400 g.

This is the adult (semi-)patternless male. He was 394 g. at importation; now 540 g.

Baby 1. 20 g. at importation; now 130 g.

Baby 2. 17 g. at importation; now 135 g. - probably my favorite of the babies; love the light, almost pastel colors...

Thanks for lookin'!

The first female has awesome coloration. I hope this group gives you many babies.

So you are going to torture me again by having to look at these! I especially like the animal in the first picture. They are really looking good.

David these never seem to be available in Europe. I never hear about them anyway...

Really nice animals.

Very nice animals, they make me jealous!

Mark, I think when they are imported over there they are frequently mislabeled. It happens here too, but less often than it use to. A lot of times they get snatched up by someone who knows what they actually are without the importer ever realizing that they aren’t “New Guinea” blue tongue skinks.
