Hey all!!!
So wonderful to find this place! A few of you know me from the bluey page on facebook but for those who don't let me introduce my two blueys. First is my lovely lady, Burrito. We've been friends for 17 years now. She's a cbb northern I got as a few week old hatchling. I remember I had inquired about a pair of adults I had found on kingsnake and after emailing back and forth a few times with the breeder she told me that yes in fact she did have some adults for sale but if I would let her send me some "reading material" she'd send me a hatchling northern that had had it's tail tip bitten by a clutch mate but instead of biting it off had kink it sideways at a 90 degree angle for free. Naturally I agreed and a few days later this adorable little spitfire of a bluey showed up on my doorstep, sure enough with a little kink at the tip of it's tail. Underneath the deli cup I found 5 born again Christian pamphlets. My mother then looked down at her and Ill never forget her next few words. "Oh! It looks like a little burrito!" And 17 years later here we are:)
Second is my little Renny. Renny came to me about a week ago as a rescue from a local pet shop. He was completely INFESTED with mites, horribly dehydrated and emaciated, covered with at least 2 full layers of stuck shed, most of his little fingers either missing or terribly mangled, and all in all in really bad shape. The fellow at the pet store said he hadn't fed on his own in months, that he'd been force feeding cat food mixed with water with an oral syringe jammed down his throat. The first pic is Renny as soon as I got him home. After a good soak to remove most of the shed and a little heat he ate nearly right out of my hand. Every day since he's gotten better and better and only a week later now he's like a whole new skink. The second pic of him is about 3 days ago and the third is today. He's such a mild mannered total sweetheart and simply can't comprehend how someone could treat him poorly. Oh, Dakota helped with the name Renny. It stands for renaissance which means "revival" or "rebirth".
So those are my two blueys. I hope to be adding a few more soon, although I've always loved keeping blueys I've finally decided to join the ranks of bluey breeders. Anyway, thanks for reading!

Renny looks like he's going to have a rough shed. Good luck with him! It's great that he ended up with someone who cares about him.

Hello and welcome. How luck for Renny to end up with you. It doesn't look like he would have lived for much longer had he not made his way into your home. Nice save!
