New Skink Concerns/questions?

So I got a skink thanks to Ophidiophile linking me to the CL ad She's a super chubby and long northern.
I was wondering if maybe she's too fat or if she just looks like a healthy fat. It also looks like she's had some rough sheds and looks like she might lose scales if thats possible? Her belly is really red right now as well so looks like she's going into shed, is there anything I can do this shed to heal up any damage from past sheds?
She has a mark on either side of her mouth that I can't tell if its a problem or dried food, and I can't get any good pictures of them at the moment. I apologize for the pictures I took, I'm super shakey right now sorry

She's beautiful and super sweet too, she did some huffing in the car but otherwise was really mellow.

I saw them, and she looks like a "healthy fat" but then again I'm not the most experienced.

I can see them in the links. The head actually makes me think male. He's definitely a big boy, but it's hard to judge how overweight he is unless you post some pictures in which he is on a flat surface. It doesn't look like the scales are in very bad condition; a better picture would help. Good husbandry/diet and a few sheds should smoothen them out a bit.

Better pics from a birds-eye view would help with determining male or female. My male Northerns never get that chunky- more a female trait. Also scale scuffing on side almost looks like mating marks (male biting female), I have 2 females that look like this right now, just my opinion though. Beautiful Northern!

The scales I was concerned about seem like just stuck sheds, one came off but some of the others are kind of misshapen



Her lip kind of sticks up and out, I used a wet tooth pick tonight to pick some of the gunk out and she seemed almost happy about it.

The scales and mouth look okay. The ones you're concerned about will probably be back to normal after a few sheds. He is definitely a little chubby, but I think a healthy diet is all he needs. Very nice colors!
