Tiny nostrils/Resp Infection

Hello friends,
My new baby (and first BTS) Slink has me a tad worried. Here is whats going on:
Main problem- nose keeps getting "blocked" every other day (not crusty, almost looks like part of scale?, I have to use tweezers and poke in the nostril to "open it")
Other notes on the situation:
- sneezing (possibly more than normal)
- I can tell he is occasionally breathing out of his mouth with they are "blocked" then returns to normal breathing after I clear them
- no bubbles, crust, snot or fluid or blood of any kind has been spotted
- active and eating fine
-I've bumped up humidity and got the night heat lamp on almost 'round the clock (though temps are not too high and there is still a cool side of tank)
-his nostrils are tiny! compared to other photos I've seen here, his nostrils are just very small...
-he was shipped a few weeks ago while in shed (I was unaware) and in 50 degree temps, but was packaged well and was active right out of the box

I've had plenty of experience with other lizards and snakes (not BTS though) with respiratory infections, but his symptoms aren't quite the same. I've got a herp friendly vet on alert should I decide to take him in. Just trying to save the $100 if some of you experts have wisdom to share.

I've had a couple blueys like this - in my case the small nostrils were not related to RI. It was just an odd health issue that some imports seem to have. Mouth breathing and sneezing is normal. I'd only worry if it seems like labored breathing or if there is crackling / bubbling - like they are breathing through a bit of liquid - or if there is discharge from the eyes / nostrils. It sounds like the same issue I've seen and I've had mine checked by a vet.
