Wkat kind of BTS? And help sexing

Just got this BTS and was never told what kind it was. After searching on here for the different BTS's I think he/she looks like a Indonesian BTS. Also, I wondered if there was a good way to tell the sex of them?
Its a little squirmy and was hissing(which is understandable, they brought it in a bag like youd put a snake in, the poor thing is probably scared!)
Would Aspen bedding be ok to use as substraight? Its on paper towels for now because all I have on hand if coco fiber. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I personally prefer a mix of coco husk, sphagnum moss, and leaf litter. But paper towel or aspen would be ok temporarily.

Definitely an indonesian. I thought female, but I suck at guessing genders.

I would suggest you use the coco fiber, as it holds humidity better. Aspen tends to be a very dry substrate, which is fine for most BTS, but an indo would appreciate more humidity.

I think it may have a bulge, but I'm leaning female until a better photo of a possible hemipenial bulge is posted. Head looks very feminine.

I would go for coconut bark/chips, not the fine fiber. Repti-bark is an example of coconut chips, I believe.

More pictures. He/she is pretty angry. Hisses and kinda tail whips whenever I go near it I hope I can tame him/her, too beautiful to be mean! lol

I went ahead and used the coco fiber for now just to get good humidity as he/she seems to have stuck shed at the tip of the tail and some toes, is this ok until I can get the chips?

Yes, Indonesians come in numerous different colors and patterns. You got lucky and got one of the best looking variants.

So lets say I found a female grey and black Indonesian, I could breed her to this boy? Im NOT gonna do this of course right now. I don't have near enough experience to even think about breeding lol. Im just curious about the different colors and variants

I wouldn't because I believe they are a different subspecies. And even if they aren't, I don't believe in crossing localities if you have the general information.

Find one like it and breed it to it.. If you can get them to breed.

There not different subspecies,there gigas gigas,just different color forms,nothing wrong with breeding to a black and grey one

Dakota,if you only would breed to same locale animals you shouldnt be attempting to breed,as you dont have the foggiest about any of your animals locales

No indos come with that general info

You seem to think they all look alike from the one location,i can assure you they arent and you get a big mix of coloration frommost localities

You would breed a Halmahera to a classic? Would you breed an IJ to a Merauke? A Lowland Blotched to a Highland? Why? Doesn't matter if you have the exact data, but if you breed with what looks a like you will find yourself breeding a Halmahera to a Halmahera as Halmaheras do not even the slightest bit look like classics.

And that is your opinion. This is mine. I think it is irresponsible, IMO.

I cant see him/her mention a halmahera

Just a grey black indo,which there are many of,halmaheras are an indo anyways,not a different subspecies,there gigas gigas,some halmahera animals look exactly the same as classic indos,and halmahera trait animals are found off halmahera

Are you 100 percent sure where any of your blueys came from in the wild originally

And yes ive bred vic alpines to lowlands,and resulting offspring back to both as well,there the same species,just not locale specific

I call them vic alpine vic lowland crosses then what ever there crossed back to

Size and color,or even patterning doesnt make things subspecies
