Re: Importing
I have twice in the past given you the broad strokes on what would be required in getting a BTS across the border. If you are only looking for answers from certain members, maybe try sending those members a PM instead.

Re: Importing
I don't exactly write it down and I don't remember te forum, a member has talked to me about importing baby's from us to canada, and as for the names those are just two that came to mind when I thought of Canadian breeders. A simple sentence on yes or no would have suffised instead or reminding me I had asked the question before, it is not an active topic and I thought other members could benefit aswell as I.

Re: Importing
Since you specified experienced canadaien members, I didn't feel that a simple YES or NO answer would have sufficed by me. I am neither experienced nor Canadian, so I didn't think I should be answering at all, but since this is the third time you have made inquiries about getting a BTS from the US, I figured either you forgot the advice from before, or you didn't get the answer you were looking for, or possibly that the advice from before was not by qualified members --which is why I suggested that you may want to aim your question straight at the more qualified.
I will again copy my answer from twice before:
"Just so you are aware, anyone can ship to Canada, but you would almost have to use a licensed import/export business to take your reptile over the border. I say almost, because it could take you months to get all the paperwork and permits needed if you were to try to do it without a "middle-man".
Depending on how they classify BTS, it would cost you a minimum of $500. That's just to get it across the border by the import/export company. Not the shipping fee inside the US or the shipping fee from the border to you in Montreal. If BTS is classified CITES, it would be a minimum of $800. +shipping in US, + shipping in Canada.
That's why most people only buying 1 or 2, or even 10, animals can't afford to ship across the border.
It CAN be done, if you're willing to pay."
And in case this helps at all, here are two quick results from my entering "reptile importation Canada" into google:
http://www.inspection.gc.ca/animals/ter ... 6658911065
http://reptileexpress.com/canada-usa-im ... available/
I did not mean to sound rude, I just was a bit confused as to what exactly you were after, especially after specifically entering two names into your post.

Re: Importing
No problem same her, this is ringing some bells.
The reason I suggested these names is because I know they are more experienced and therefore note likely to have gone through the process, but this is the info I wanted. Couldent I just drive over and get one instead of shipping?

Re: Importing
Actually, I've imported many times, and it's astoundingly simple for me. I order the animal I want, get it shipped to the border, drive down, and bring it back. For non-commercial, non-restricted animals, it is honestly that simple. There's some specific information/numbers I need to know, and paperwork needed, but I've gotten pretty good at it. I think my last pickup was in December - 5 gorgeous fat tail geckos
Now if you cannot drive over the border yourself, or are looking for a larger shipment, I suggest contacting Reptile Express. They regularly do imports, and they take care of all of the paperwork and everything for you.
