BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, I noticed today that Oliver's tail has a little bent kink at the end. I'm assuming from retained shed. I do feel terrible that I didn't notice this earlier and didn't scan him even more thoroughly since his last shed. What can I do to help him (if possible)?

It has been a month since his last shed and he is due for one within a few days.

He could have been born with it, you might have just not noticed. Is it very noticeable or is it very short?

It is at the very tip. It's tiny. I apologize for the lack of clarity in the photos.

It does look like a small amount of stuck shed. If it's easy enough, you may be able to gently pull it off. Otherwise, you can use a drop of oil and a q tip to remove it. Warm water works as well.
